About Kris

Welcome — I’m Kristopher Sheehy (you can call me Kris), a lifelong audio nerd, full-time creator, and your go-to guide for making your voice and sound setup professional — without the stress.

My background

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts from Full Sail University, where I immersed myself in audio engineering, mixing, mastering, and production. From there I spent over 10 years working with top-tier brands like Sennheiser and Neumann, and recording/mixing sessions for artists, film, commercials and music-video projects.

Having walked the studio floor, wired the gear, and battled poor recordings, I know exactly how chaotic things can feel when your setup isn’t delivering.

Why this site exists

You’re not building in a major studio. You might be streaming, podcasting, recording songs, layering vocals over AI-generated tracks, or just trying to sound good in a home setup. And you’re sick of dealing with bad audio, confusing tutorials, or gear that “should work but doesn’t.”

That’s why Kris Does Audio exists:

  • To make audio simple, approachable, and reliable.
  • To help streamers, podcasters, musicians, and AI music creators sound like pros without needing expensive gear or a degree.
  • To give you practical tools, real-world guidance, and presets that you can use right now, with actual gear you own.

What you’ll find here

  • Step-by-step guides for optimizing your mic, room, and signal chain.
  • Preset packs and toolkits designed for creators — no studio engineer needed.
  • Honest gear reviews and real-world workflow tips.
  • Troubleshooting solutions tailored for content creators and AI vocal workflows.
  • A community of creators who want to sound better and leave the tech drama behind.

My promise to you

When you work through the content here, you’ll stop overthinking your setup and start creating with confidence. You’ll end the cycle of “why does my voice sound awful?” and finally get the sound you deserve.

Thanks for stopping by.
I’m excited to help you level up your sound — and focus on what matters: your voice, your story, your creation.

— Kris
